Monthly income may include
Average monthly income of €2.350 for the last year or €28.000 in a bank account. For each family member €6.000 in an account or an income of €600/month is required.
Health Insurance.
 The insurance policy covers medical expenses either partially or fully.
No commercial activity or employment

Interest on short-term and long-term bank deposits

If required upon arrival in Spain
Booking an appointment for Padron registration, preparation of all documents + 125 euros
Checking the long-term rental agreement and communicating with the landlord to make changes if necessary + 195 euros
First you get a residence permit for 1 year, then an extension for 2 years

If you want to extend your residence permit, you must not be outside Spain for more than 6 months within a year
You can only apply through the Spanish embassy/consulate in your country of residence, not from Spain!
€2500 for the main applicant, €500 for each family member
